Welcome to Sublime Light
Sublime Light exists for one purpose, to teach you how to shoot portraits like a pro. You may think you don’t have what it takes or don’t have the right equipment, but you don’t know just what you’re capable of. Anyone can learn to take amazing photographs that will inspire awe.
You may be a new parent wanting to get better portraits of your new baby on your own. You may be a seasoned professional photographer. It doesn’t matter, this is the place for you. You will never take another photograph the same way again.
On this web site you’ll find all the information you need to go from complete beginner to knowing all the tricks of the trade. Along the way you’ll learn shortcuts and ways to get around buying expensive gear that kept you from doing this a long time ago.
Getting Around
You’re currently reading the welcome page, but the home page where articles are added every day is here. One of the biggest hits Sublime Light has is the acclaimed Portrait Lighting For Beginners series of articles, where we start from ground zero. There are a couple of great ways to get around the site.
- Check out the Best of Sublime Light pages, where only the most popular content is kept.
- Look through the complete article archives. You’ll see links to each month at the top of the left hand sidebar.
- Read articles by category. This is a great way to keep just to a specific topic of interest.
- Read related articles. At the bottom of almost every article is a listing of related articles that you might find interesting.
- Search articles. At the top of the sidebar is a search box. Just type in your search phrase and hit the “Search” button. All articles that fit the bill will be shown.
While you’re here, don’t forget to stop by the Sublime Light forums. And join the Sublime Light Flickr group to add photos to the pool and show them off to the world.
