    Tim,
    Caveat Emptor. This is what you get for buying sight unseen.
    Deal with a reputable retailer and this sort of issue will not arise.
    The more photographers buy on line, the fewer good pro shops will survive, and believe me you will miss them when they are gone.
    Besides, I think it is very precious of you to expect a multi-national corporation to be able to show the sort of flexibility that a small photographic business can provide.
    I would charge you a re-stocking fee too.
