Coming Soon: Review of Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS

June 2nd, 2009 by Tim Solley Follow him on Facebook or Twitter

I recently took the plunge and spent a very large chunk of change on this new lens. I’ve had it for about two weeks now, and, well, I’ll reserve judgement for a proper review.

But just so you know, it’ll be coming your way soon.

Any chance that you’ll be performing any level of comparison between this lens and the f4 IS? I’m continually tossed up between the two. f2.8 is a big draw, but the f4 has weight on its side.

    Thanks for the comment Keith.

While I don’t have access to a f/4 IS, I have a friend who does have the f/4 non IS version. I’ll probably see if I can do some comparison there. Since with my IS version I can turn it off, I can do some IS vs. non IS comparison.

So I can at least compare optics between the f/4 and f/2.8. Stay tuned!
