HowTo: Join the Sublime Light Flickr Photo Pool
It has come to my attention that not everyone is an expert in the ways of Flickr. This is certainly understandable, as I think the site could use a little gussying up. In the meantime, here’s a quick HowTo on joining the Sublime Light Flickr group and adding photos to the pool. It’s as easy as pie. Mmm…I love pie. These steps assume you’ve already signed up for a free Flickr account.
Step One – Join
Go to the Sublime Light Flickr group. This is where you can join in any discussions on the forum and you can post and look at photos that other readers are posting. If you’re not a member of the group, you’ll see a page that looks like the image below (click for a full size version). You’ll see a link in the lower right that says “>> Join this group?” Click that link to join the group.
Step Two – Confirm
You’ll see a confirmation screen asking if you really want to join the group. Click “Join this group” and you in like Flynn. You’re now a card carrying member of the Sublime Light group. We meet every Thursday at the old sawmill…
Step Three – Add Photos
As a member of the group, you can now add photos to the pool. Simply go to the detail page for one of your photos you already have uploaded to Flickr. See the sample screen shot below (click for bigger version). Just above your photo, the second icon says “Send to group”. Click it and your groups will appear. Choose “Sublime Light” and your photo will be added to the pool so everyone can see it. Brilliant!

This is a good time to mention that once at the group, you can also participate in the discussion threads. Feel free to ask anything or post any comments.
