The next installment of the Portrait Lighting for Beginners series is due out in a couple of days. In the meantime, I thought I’d take a second to look back at how this blog has grown in the short time it’s been around.

I started this blog just a few weeks ago. Now, I’m a long time dot com guy. During the dot com boom in the 90’s I started up a company and I know that simply starting up a web site doesn’t mean people find you. You have to work at it to get people to come to your site.

But this blog is surprising me…on many levels. I’ve been eying the statistics and every day I’m amazed at the growth. You folks are coming from all over. The graph keeps climbing and people keep coming back.

As of yesterday, the Sublime Light has reached every continent and more than 25 countries. Not bad for just a few weeks. Okay, so no one from Antartica is reading, but that’s okay. Seriously, someone from Antartica has better things to do, like finding heat. To the person in Pancevo, Serbia taking pictures…right on! Start posting some of your stuff to the reader photo pool, I really want to see some of those pictures from Serbia! That goes for everyone. Join the group and let’s start showing off our stuff.

To everyone who is reading this blog, thanks. I hope you’re enjoying what you’re reading, and I hope you’re getting something out of it. That’s the whole point. Got any comments? Put them in the comments section anywhere.

Now I just need someone from Azerbaijan to join in the fun…

EDITOR’S NOTE: I just checked the logs. What dooya know, someone from Azerbaijan stopped by two weeks after writing this post. Amazing.
